Steve McCaffery is the author or co-author of over two scores of poetry books, and chapbooks most recently Tatterdemalio: A Sketch-Book for Syntax (London: Veer editions 2014) and Alice in Plunderland (a rule constrained adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic.
His visual poetry has been anthologized in countless collections most recently Typewriter Art by Barrie Tllett. In 2013 he co-curated “Language to Cover a Wall: Visual Poetry through its changing Technologies” an exhibition of more than 200 hundred poems and poem-objects. A cros-sectionn of his visual work can be found in the two-volume Seven Pages Missing (Coach House Press). Born in England and a long-time resident of Toronto he has lived in Buffalo, NY since 2004 where he is David Gray Professor of Poetry and Letters at SUNY Buffalo and Director of the Poetics Program.
